Time sure does fly, doesn't it? This photo was taken 3 years ago on my wife's birthday. We were still in Philippines living at the house I grew up in. It was a much simpler life out there. Not necessarily better than it is out here in the States, but different. We really do need to experience the contrast of the places or situations that seem to be tugging in your hearts at all times. How else would we know where we really need to end up for the next chapter of our lives? Having the courage to make the necessary sacrifices for the greater glory or even just trying to capture this moment on that photo and hanging on to it for as long as we can.. the three of us. Nothing is constant except Death and Taxes... and Change. The past 3 years have been a whirlwind of moves and adjustments and compromises and so on and so forth, but what it really has been is an adventure. Now a few pounds heavier for the my wife and I and a few inches taller for the little one, we crave for change, again. A much simpler one. A more basic one. A struggle to have our own business catering in a new town. Planting a garden in a small space that we wish one day will be a homestead. Somewhere down the line, turn that in to a farm to table type of place where people can come have a taste of a simple kind of life, even if it's just a stone's throw away from the grind... Most importantly, though, is the time for the 3 of us to just grow together. Never forgetting that time spent together anywhere is time well spent.
